Member Awards Opportunities
ALAMO CHAPTER PAYROLL PROFESSIONAL OF THE YEAR
Effective 2018, the Payroll Professional of the Year – Alamo Chapter (PPY) will be awarded annually to honor a San Antonio area payroll professional who has shown their contributions and dedication to the payroll industry and our Chapter.
PPY Award
In addition to the PPY trophy, the PPY recipient will receive a FREE conference registration for the 37th Annual Texas Payroll Conference (TPC) to be held in September 2026. Conference registration will be completed and paid by the ACPP Treasurer, but class selections will be made by the recipient separately and coordinated with TPC after the selection and announcement.
PPY AWARD Recipient
The recipient MUST be an active member in good standing of the ACPP, have 3 years or more of payroll or related experience and have obtained their CPP designation. Current members of the ACPP Board of Directors are ineligible to apply.
PPY Application
An application for the PPY award must be submitted electronically no later than deadline stated on the application. Applications submitted after this date will not be considered. The PPY application may be submitted by the individual nominee or by a third party on behalf of the nominee.
The following items must be submitted to be considered for the PPY award:

A completed application form due by June 30, 2026.

A completed questionnaire as shown on the application.

Two original, signed professional letters of recommendation.
Applications should be submitted to ACPP no later than the stated deadline. If you are interested in the Payroll Professional of the Year (PPY) Award, please download the application and submit the completed application to [email protected]. Applications will be evaluated by Texas Chapter Presidents.
The winner of the PPY award will remain confidential until the formal public announcement.

SHARON TUCH MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
Since 2018, the Sharon Tuch Memorial Scholarship will be awarded annually to honor the memory of Sharon Tuch, the 1994 Past President of the Alamo Chapter of Payroll Professionals. During her tenure with the Alamo Chapter of Payroll Professionals (ACPP) and service on the Board of Directors prior to her untimely passing in 2017, Sharon was dedicated to the education of payroll professionals in the San Antonio area.
The purpose of the Sharon Tuch Memorial Scholarship is to recognize individuals dedicated to the Payroll Profession and encourage their educational advancement through opportunities provided in San Antonio.
Scholarship Award
The Scholarship Award recipient will receive FREE ACPP membership dues for the 2027 membership year as well as free member attendance at all 2027 monthly educational luncheon meetings. Travel expenses to the ACPP meeting are sole responsibility of the scholarship recipient. All meeting registrations must be completed online by the Treasurer to be processed without charge. The scholarship must be used in the following year and the recipient of this award cannot have previously won a Sharon Tuch Memorial Scholarship. Membership dues and meeting registrations are non-transferrable. Due to COVID-19, the award presented to the scholarship recipient may be subject to change.
Scholarship Recipient

The winner of the scholarship will be notified by phone as soon as the selection has been made. This information will remain confidential until the formal public announcement at the next regular luncheon meeting.

PERFECT ATTENDANCE AWARDS
ACPP members, in good standing, are eligible for quarterly and annual Perfect Attendance Awards. ACPP Board members and appointed positions are NOT eligible.
Quarterly Award - free meeting registration to be used within 90 days of announcement. ACPP members who attend every ACPP meeting during the calendar quarter are eligible for drawing to be held in the month following at the educational luncheon meeting (April, July, October, and February of the following year). Quarterly award winners are not eligible for another quarterly award during the same calendar year. However, the award winner is still eligible for the Annual Award.
Annual Award - $50 cash. ACPP members who attend every ACPP meeting during the calendar year are eligible for drawing to be held in February of the next year at the educational luncheon meeting.
VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR AWARD
ACPP members, in good standing, who have volunteered consistently and go “above and beyond”, or exhibit similar qualities that define an outstanding member are eligible for the annual Volunteer of the Year to be presented at the February educational luncheon meeting in the following year. Participation in chapter operations, such as the NPW Committee, NEISD Career Fair, FPC/CPP Study Group, etc. The ACPP Board will nominate and vote on the winner. ACPP Board members and appointed positions are NOT eligible.
Annual Award - $50 cash.
