PayrollOrg sets standards for payroll excellence through certification programs at two levels. Explore the benefits of certification of becoming certified as a Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC).

ACPP CPP/FPC Study Group classes will be held in-person on Wednesday evenings from 6-8 pm beginning May 27, 2026 through August 26, 2026. Classes will be held at RSM US, 19026 Ridgewood Parkway Suite 400, San Antonio, TX.

CPP/FPC EXAM DATES:  


  • SPRING 2026    January 5 - April 18, 2026
  • FALL 2026         September 5 - October 3, 2026


ABOUT THE EXAM:


Certification exams administered beginning January 5 through April 18, 2026, questions should be answered based on federal laws and regulations in effect as of 1/1/2025. Mid-year changes are NOT reflected on the CPP exam.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:


  • Must be an active member of the Alamo Chapter of Payroll Professionals

  • CPP Eligibility:  Must qualify under either Criteria 1, 2 or 3 of the PayrollOrg’s certification requirements to qualify for the CPP exam to attend the Study Group.  Requirements are available under the Certifications section of the PAYO website at https://payroll.org/education-certification/certification/certified-payroll-professional-(cpp).

  • FPC Eligibility:  Open to all those who wish to demonstrate a baseline of payroll competency. 

  • If seeking CPP recertification, Criteria 1, 2 or 3 do not apply.

COURSE DESCRIPTION:


  • Twelve-week instructed course to be held in-person on Wednesday from 6 pm - 8 pm starting May 27 through August 26.

CANCELLATION POLICY:


Within 48 hours before the class start date, written notice of cancellation is required and a refund of the class cost, less the cost of textbook (if purchased as part of class), will be processed. No refund will be granted for ACPP membership dues. A $50 administrative fee will be applied.
